Three lovely people :P
April 27, 2009
Last April 23 was the birthday of three people very special to me, Ade (my boyfriend), Kim (my high school bestfriend), and Myco (my kuya during high school). Belated happy birthday to all three of them! GREET THEM PEOPLE, GREET THEM!
Anyway before I get too retarded, I just want to post this letter I made for my bestfriend many months ago as I think it is very timely.
Belated Watchmen Post
March 10, 2009School’s finally over, hooray!! Because of that, I knew I’d be allowed to go out and watch a movie. FINALLY.
The boyfriend, as early as Valentine’s day, was already begging me to see the movie Watchmen with him. We were so lucky that both of us won a ticket to the Premiere at Gateway from Azrael’s contest. I admit I do not know much about the Watchmen, except that I know there is a naked blue guy. Anything NAKED is enough to interest me. Also, who wouldn’t be hyped to watch this movie when the sight of the posters is already enough to send their boyfriend into geekgasms while shouting like silly school girls?
…… The mental image of my boyfriend in a schoolgirl outfit disturbed me.
I dare you to read this!!!!
January 4, 2009I’m just taking a break from working on my thesis. And I warn you, this entry is going to be short but silly.
My brain kind of stopped working and I just feel so in-love right now…..Like im overcome with the happies.Im gurgling with mad happiness and cheesiness and mushiness. Bah. The non-sensical flow of my thoughts is quite unstoppable because I just ate some Cream-Os and drank some Yakult.
What was I about to say awhile ago? I got a bit off track because of the Cream-Os.
Oh yeah.. I love my boyfriend very much!! I love you honey! *insert silly smiley here*
I’m now off to gush some more while eating more Cream-Os and drinking more Yakult and working some more for thesis…. Then I’d get some sleep!
P.S.
bwahahahaha I hope I was able to make someone’s brain an incoherent mess after they read this. *evil maniacal laughter*
Mineral Makeup Weekend on Dec. 20-21!!
December 18, 2008For those who know me quite well, perhaps you’ve seen how my kikay kit is almost always bursting. I’m not so picky with the brands I use. As long as it does not give me any pimples then I’m fine. That and due to the fact that I’ve never really had any breakouts all my life has led me to take my skin for granted. Now I can feel some rough spots on my face and for days, my face has also been itching for some reason. That’s why I decided to temporarily stop using makeup to let my skin rest and breathe. Now this made me think. What if when I’m already working and I must ALWAYS have makeup on my face? Then I remembered that a friend once told me that mineral makeup lets your skin breathe hence making you less prone to itch attacks or breakouts. I’ve never really paid attention to what my friend said. But because my face is itching, I want to discover more about mineral makeup and experience for myself the difference! I saw on The Mineral Makeup Blog that there will be an event this weekend:
From the huge success of Manila’s Mineral Makeup Weekend last year, we’re definitely bringing it back! It’d be so exciting to see mineral makeup addicts drag along their friends and introduce them into mineral makeup. Mineral makeup is such a wonderful thing to share because it’s absolutely safe for everyday use, it’s beneficial to the skin, and it’s not too expensive as well! Most of all, it brings forth better looking skin without looking like makeup at all, that further boosts self confidence that I embrace it with all my heart for it changed my life, first and foremost. I began to love me when I started using mineral makeup. *wink*
Anyway, for details, my lovelies, read on!

Just Call Me Beautiful
November 21, 2008I kid! No need to call me that, I already know I am! Kapal ko talaga. =))
MOVING ON!
Ages ago, I’ve discovered that the boyfie has tagged me. Aaaand, so as to comply, I’ve racked my brain trying to recall all the names that I’ve ever been called. Here goes:
1. Marielle- my given name. This is what acquaintances usually call me, except those who I met through my college friends
2. Yel- this was the nickname on my nametag during the orientation in ateneo. All of my college friends know me by this name and some of them don’t even know who “Marielle” is. So, naturally when they introduce me to their friends, they use this name too. (more…)

Suicide Note
July 18, 2008As I was attempting to cram for my Abnormal Psych quiz yesterday, my book opened to the page about depression and suicide (classmates, p.262 of our book). On the side of the page was Virginia Woolf’s suicide note, addressed to her husband. It just struck me how the letter contained very intense emotions. I can’t find the proper words to describe my reaction and to say what I want to say.
I wrote a copy of the letter here. Read it and allow yourself to be immersed in it. Let it sink in, and allow yourself to feel. Yes, just feel.
Letting go of the memories
July 7, 2008
I’m happy with my decision, with what I did. Everything feels lighter now. It made me appreciate all the good times I had and just let go of all the bad times because it would really be pointless holding on to those memories. It’s better this way than end up being fed up and bitter towards each other. I wish that we could be friends eventually because we spent nearly five years being together and there’s this part of me that’s having a hard time accepting that friendship isn’t an easy thing to ask for. Happiness and Purpose in Life
June 30, 2008
Honestly I’ve been asking myself, what’s my purpose in life? How does one measure true happiness? In this world where things have mostly become superficial, how would you know whether you’re happy or not? When would you ever realize the purpose of your presence in this world? (more…)
Mosquitoes and Relatives
June 23, 2008VICTORY!!! Ha! Do you know how glorious it feels to finally be able to kill the mosquito that’s been flying near my legs since lunch time? I’m dancing with joy because I was able to put an end to the series of bites I have been receiving.
The feeling of victory ends as I discover another mosquito presence hovering nearby.
Moving on to more serious things, my relatives from my mother’s side of the family are here. They arrived from the province last Thursday (more…)
Disappointed but bouncing back!
June 20, 2008Let me begin by telling you guys that this is very far from a major disappointment and some would even think that I shouldn’t be disappointed but whatever. Read on haha.
As a fourth year college student in Ateneo, I should take part in an Immersion activity. Immersion is part of our theology class. Here, we would go to a poor area where we would stay for 3 days and (more…)
June for Lasts
June 17, 2008
This month, I said hello to a few of my lasts in life…

Last school year, first semester, first day of school year (more…)
Horror and Monsters
June 16, 2008
I seem to be learning a lot this semester as this is my second time to post something inspired by a teacher. I wonder if this is just caused by the “newness” of the semester, and if this newfound bright eyed interest i have will dwindle as the semester passes by.
Anyhow, I had my most awaited class this morning- Com 115.9 Seminar on Horror Films. I’ve been waiting for this class because (more…)
The value of silence
June 15, 2008
June 13, 2008 (Entry was written on this date)
Why is the internet acting up again? Damn it. So now I end up typing this in Notepad then copy paste later on…
Actually, I’ve been planning to blog since yesterday because (1)the words of my theo prof stirred a blogging impulse in me and (more…)
